John Mc Cam (b. 1984 - Argentine) lives and works in Berlin.
Mc Cam invites us to consider the form and function of aesthetic properties from elsewhere in our highly visualized lives. Can color take shape? Is there a shape without color? And how does this primitive conflict elicit subconscious sensation and behavioral interaction in our daily lives? Raising these questions and more, Mc Cam's work serves as a conscious symbol for our unconscious reception of visual information and stimulus, and the curious ways that each of us develops experience on our own terms through interaction with our surroundings.

Statement

My works are focused on the constant search in space and color.
The creation of objects that are free of any connection to reality. Where one is free of past/ present/ future and is a timeless relationship to subjective. The unconscious controls and defines our perception of individual/ color/ form/ space.

————————
